DESCRIPTION:The Young People’s Chorus of Erie will audition potentia
 l new members during the last week of August and first week of Septemb
 er.\n\nAuditions will be held at various sites in the Erie region betw
 een Monday, August 30, and Friday, September 10. Singers will choose a
  time and location when they make their appointment to audition.\n\nYP
 C Erie membership is open to all youth ages 7-18 who demonstrate the a
 bility to match pitch and have a genuine interest in singing. An outre
 ach program of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Penn St
 ate Erie, The Behrend College, YPC Erie is the first affiliate program
  of the famed Young People’s Chorus of New York City.\n\nCurrently, 
 125 youth sing in YPC Erie’s five choirs—Elementary, Intermediate,
  Concert, Chorale, and Young Men. Dr. Jason Bishop, YPC artistic direc
 tor, said that the 2010-11 season will include performances at the thi
 rd annual YPC Honor Chorus Festival on Saturday, Nov. 13; an appearanc
 e at the Erie Philharmonic holiday pops concert on Dec. 4; YPC Erie’
 s own holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 21, and an appearance by the yo
 unger choristers at the Erie Phil’s Valentine’s Day pops concert o
 n Saturday, Feb. 12.\n\nAudition appointments can be made by calling t
