Permalink Reply by Heather on June 9, 2009 at 8:36am Hi Heather! My mother in law makes the strangest gifts for every occasion, including fathers day. I am sure when she starts the project it is supposed to look one way but by the time she is finished it is so far from what it is supposed to be it looks hideous!! For example, she made chair covers for our dining room... to save $4.00 at Walmart... they look like gigantic sails with shoe strings. (that is what she used to gather the extra)
Since my husband grew up with her weird homemade gifts, he does not care too much for them so I try not to encourage my two daughters to make too much.
My daughters are 7 and 5, we are a military family stationed in Kansas, my husband is from Erie PA, and his family is from Eire and North East.
