ErieMoms

I am a mom to a little girl born 2-23-12 and am looking for other mothers with similar age children to get together with for play dates, and mommy talk ! I am a new mom who is a bit older and doesn't have any friends with young kids (YET!)

I don't have any advise -- but in the same boat.  Looking to see if anyone knows of any mom meet up groups or something similiar.  I'm due with my first child next week - May 31st, and was hoping to find some meet ups for the summer!

If no one else responds maybe we have to make our own mommy and me group !

Hey Ladies -- I'm a member of the Erie-sistable Mom's group (through Meetups).  They do a LOT of activities.  You could try there!

I am starting a MOMS Club of Erie. I'd love to have all of you newer moms join. The MOMS Club (MOMS Offering Moms Support) is a non-profit organization, which provides support for the stay-at-home mother. MOMS Club is the only international support group specfic for all at-home mothers. By joining this local chapter you are joining other at-home mothers around the world in saying that mothering-at-home is important! Our goals include providing moral support to at-home moms; providing a forum for topics of interest to women; giving mothers more of a voice in the community and performing service projects, especially those benefiting children; providing a place for both mothers and children to socialize.

The MOMS Club of Erie chapter is located in North Western Pennsylvania and includes Erie county including Albion, Corry, Cranesville, Edinboro, Erie, Girard, Lake City, Mill Village, North East, Union City, Waterford, Wattsburg and Wesleyville.

More information about the MOMS Club of Erie can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/momscluboferie/, by emailing momscluberie@gmail.com or calling 814-299-MOMS (6667).

First meeting will be Tuesday 6/12 at 10Am at Church of the Cross in Fairview PA. I'd love to see you all there and would be happy to host a baby play date at my house as I have two 11 month old!

Sounds like a great program -- do you meet at other places too?  Fairview is a little far for me.

Thanks!

Where are you located? The hope for this MOMS Club is to have events all over Erie County. If I see a need in a certain area I'll be happy to schedule an event or once you are a member you are more than welcome to schedule one!

Thanks--

Kara

E 38th Street, but we head to the Harborcreek area a lot.

wow this sounds great but I am a working mom..do you have early evening or weekend activities?

This group is mainly for stay-at-home moms and part time moms. all activities will be held during the day and during the week. International bylaws state that there can only be one moms night out and one family night out every month. Sorry I cannot help you Jennifer! Hope you have a great day!

Dear Jennifer,

I am 43 years old with a 23 y.o., a 21 y.o. and now a precious 2 1/2 y.o. I am not sure where you are from I live in Edinboro. I  moved here 3 years ago from the SW Pa area, and you're right, it's darn near impossible as an older mom to find mom's with small children, and also hard to have a lot in common with mom's in their 20's. perhaps posting here will encourage other mother's in our situation to come out of hiding and have a little something for the little ones. My baby girl will be 3 in October, the day before Halloween, to be exact, it would be nice to have some children her age at her party as she is starting to come to that age where birthdays are starting to get important, and can be quite fun.

Diana

Diana,
