My little guy just got his big boy bed today. But as I suspected, now that he's not trapped by the crib, he won't take a nap.

Any advice?

As a mother of four,(and working in a childcare in the past), I have been through this four times.(and with many other children)
When he gets up, simply take him by the hand and put him back in bed. He may cry, he may play, he may even get mad, but say NOTHING. and walk out of the room. He may keep getting out of bed, and it may go on for the next few days, and can be very irritating and tiring, but with enough silence and placing him back in his sleeping spot and walking away, he will soon realize that it is not happening and eventually he'll go to sleep without a problem.
starting from the first day he goes to sleep without getting back up, reward him after his nap, praise him and he'll continue to his proper routine.....
Thanks - we're giving it another go right now...
