New Mom to Be Looking for recommendations for Family Day Care Providers

Hello all!

My baby is due on February 14, 2012 (I still can't believe it!).  My husband and I are looking for a Family Day Care in Erie.  We live on the East Side off of East 38th.  Does anyone have any recommendations for Family Day Care locations in our area?  Does anyone know of a website that contains a listing of such services?

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.  I do not know a lot of mom's in Erie and would feel more comfortable with recommendations rather than just randomly calling people.

Thanks again!

Hi Emily - I believe I've worked w/ your husband at GE!  Are you still looking for child care?   We also live on the east side, just 3 blocks north of Mercyhurst College.  If you are looking for full time care, Mercyhurst Child Learning Center on might be an option for you to check out.  They are in our neighborhood on 27th and Ash and take full time kids only. I'm not sure where you work, but St James Church near GE on Buffalo Road also accepts full time kids.  Maybe your husband could do the drop off? Good luck!

Emily,

I actually use Lynns Little Rascals. I started with her when my daughter was 8 weeks old and now she is 3 and my son is 4 months! She's located on Route 8 and interstate 90. She's great with kids and has a baby room, toddler room and a preschool. She is on here if you'd like to msg. her. Her name is Lynn Turner. Hope this helps!
