Hey, sorry, sounds like you've had some trouble. I can't help you with a recommendation for a pediatrician because i hate ours as well. hoping to get a new one with in the year when we move.

What you might want to look into is a family practice. Maybe someone with more experience can help out on the pros and cons of pediatricians vs family drs. I don't see much a difference once the child is over a year old. Unless you need someone to deal with an ongoing pediatric problem, I would think a family dr could handle colds, and well-ness checks just fine AND it might be more convenient because the older kids get the more they pass bugs on to you, you could both be seen and taken care of at the same time. Good Luck!

Stefanie,

I don't know if you found a Pediatrician yet but ours is very knowledgeable and kind. Her name is Dr. Maria Leonard.

I have a complex baby with reflux and other maladies of immaturity...and have been with Dr. Barber since my first baby born in 1990. I know that he can be polarizing...either you love him or you hate him, but as an RN and someone that knows about high quality pediatric care, he's simply the best.

I would also highly recommend Anne Zomczik. Having a board-certified pediatrician is important. Erie is very lucky to have as many as we have. If your child ever needed hospitalized, you'd be better served by a pediatrician in my opinion based on experience.

Good luck to you!

I do love Dr. Michael Webster..he's smart hand had a good bedside manner.
Hello, I have to agree with Stephanie we also have Dr. Maria Leonard and she is great. I am not sure if she is still excepting new patients but so far I have no complaints about anyone in their office.

Good Luck

Dr. Debbie Bishop in Lake City is fabulous. She's a family physician, rather than a Pediatrician, but she's handled all 4 of my kid's healthcare since before they were born. If you're looking for someone who believes that you have a brain in your head and wants to work with you on healthcare issues, as opposed to "mannaging your health care" for you, you'll be delighted. She always takes time to listen to your concerns, and takes the time to research less common solutions you might suggest.

We've been her patients for about 14 yrs between her old office and her new practice. In one emergency situation, she even beat me to the ER from Girard (I had spoken to her in her office only minutes before my hubby rushed me in) because, she said, the visit would be faster and cheaper for me (it was) if she were at the hospital than a straight ER visit. She's also called me to check on me while I was laid up ("doing rounds at the hospital and thinking of you"), and let me bring my son to her house to check a health concern before her new office had opened. She truly cares about her patients. We've waited a long time for her to go into practice by herself, and I believe she's still accepting new patients.
we go to Dr. Fadrigo, your pediatric connection. she was my son't dr., now he's 15 and now she's my daughter who's 2 and half dr. She's very nice, so is her nurse. Always have gotten right in when needed. good luck
