Presque Isle Bike Tour: Saturday, June 8, 10 a.m.; Presque Isle State Park Cookhouse Pavilion; a Highmark Healthy by Nature program; features a 10-mile bicycle tour; learn about local park history during the ride; registration required. Cost: Free. Info: 833-7424.
ART & SOLE 5K RUN/WALK: Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m.; Neighborhood Art House, 201 E. 10th St.; all runners welcome to run or walk the course, which begins and ends at the Art House after proceeding through downtown; event benefits Art House programs; top finishers in each category win artwork created by children at the Art House; registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Cost: $25; $12 children younger than 12; $60 maximum per family. Lagoons by Pontoon: Thursdays-Sundays, through June 30, 11 a.m., 1 or 2 p.m.; Presque Isle State Park Lagoons Launch, near the East Boat Livery; the natural history and beauty of the park's interior lagoons is showcased in this one-hour interpretive pontoon tour; sign-ups, on a first-come-first-served basis, start at 10 a.m. on day of ride. Special Evening Lagoons by Pontoon: Wednesdays and Fridays, through August 30, 7-8:30 p.m.; Presque Isle State Park; enjoy the sounds and occasional glimpses of active evening wildlife found on the peninsula; registration for the boat's 16 seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis by phone or in person at the park office, starting at 10 a.m. on Mondays.
