ONE DAY LEFT TO REGISTER: "Adam's Rib," a free program for men who's loved one has breast cancer
If you happen to know of anyone who is diagnosed with breast cancer, you might want to let them know about Saint Vincent's "Adam's Rib" seminar, coming up this Saturday. It's for MEN who have women in their lives with breast cancer. It's designed to teach them what they need to know to be supportive and a good caregiver, but also to take care of themselves during this challenging time.
It's set for Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at the Palace Business Center at 1001 State Street. It's FREE and features nationally known author Marc Heyison. Attendees will receive a free copy of his book and can bring the woman in their lives for a free presentation and a pampering manicure. A rib lunch will be served. Asbury Woods Nature Center will celebrate National Trails Day Saturday with a work party. Volunteers will be adding bark mulch to trails, cleaning up and making improvements. Lunch and beverages will be provided.
The work party will take place 9 a.m. to noon, and adults, families and groups are invited. Children ages 8 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Call 835-5356 to preregister.
